It's about courage. And above all, it's about ensuring that never again means never again. In the war of words, just as on the battlefield, we cannot afford to stay silent. Hasbara is our voice, our shield, and our unwavering commitment to justice, memory, and survival. When Israel fights, terror loses — and Hasbara makes sure the world knows why.","videoTitle","Hasbara video","p1","The October 7th massacre was a wake-up call. On October 8th 2023, instead of global condemnation, we witnessed celebrations and open support for Gaza. The world did not mourn the innocent Israeli lives lost — it justified the atrocities.","p2","The people of Gaza who invaded Israel on October 7 knew they could not defeat the IDF. They knew Israel would come for its hostages. But they also knew something else: global media, public opinion, and international institutions would stand with them, not with Israel.","p3","This was not an accident. It was the result of years of strategic propaganda, media infiltration, and institutional bias — all carefully designed to ensure that when the day came, the world would defend the massacre, excuse the atrocities, and demand the destruction of the Jewish state.","p4","Hasbara is our answer. It is how we expose the truth, counter the lies, and fight back against the forces trying to erase Israel and the Jewish people. This war is not just fought on the battlefield — it is fought in the media, in politics, in classrooms, and on social media.","p5","If we do not stand up and take control of the narrative, our enemies will. And if they control the story, they will use it to justify repeating October 7th, every day, until Israel is gone.","p6","This is why Hasbara matters. The truth must be told. And we will be the ones to tell it.","As enemies of the Jewish state wage war on the ground, they also wage war on truth, flooding the world with lies designed to demonize Israel and justify terror. Hasbara is our response. It is the mission to expose these falsehoods, to defend Israel's moral clarity, and to ensure the world sees this war for what it truly is: a fight against genocidal hatred.","Since the October 7, 2023 massacre — the deadliest attack on Jews since the Holocaust — Israel has been fighting not only a war for its survival, but also a war of narratives. Hamas, Hezbollah, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, and their enablers have unleashed a wave of terror against Israel from Gaza, Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, and Yemen, all while waging a coordinated disinformation campaign that portrays terrorists as victims and Israel as the aggressor.","Hasbara is how we counter this. It is the voice that breaks through the noise of propaganda, reminding the world that Israel's war is not about territory — it is about survival. It is a response to an existential threat from Iran's axis of terror, which uses civilians as human shields, hospitals as command centers, and hostages as bargaining chips.","Through Hasbara, we tell the truth: that the October 7 massacre was a genocidal onslaught involving the mass rape, mutilation, and execution of civilians by thousands of terrorists who invaded Israel with the goal of exterminating Jews. We expose how global institutions like the UN and so-called human rights organizations remain silent in the face of this barbarism, while rushing to condemn Israel for defending itself.","Hasbara means rejecting moral relativism and demanding clarity — it is a rejection of the false equivalence between democratic Israel and genocidal terror groups. It is our duty to speak for the hostages still suffering in Hamas dungeons, to challenge the lies spread on college campuses, and to hold accountable those who glorify the murder of Jews.",[689,690,691,692,693,694,695,696,697,698,699,700,701],{"_127":383,"_704":767},{"_127":441,"_23":764,"_704":765},{"_127":665,"_23":759,"_760":28,"_704":761},{"_127":754,"_23":755,"_704":756},{"_127":750,"_23":751,"_704":752},{"_127":746,"_23":747,"_704":748},{"_127":741,"_23":742,"_704":743},{"_127":737,"_23":738,"_704":739},{"_127":732,"_23":733,"_704":734},{"_127":728,"_23":729,"_704":730},{"_127":711,"_23":712,"_713":714},{"_127":707,"_23":708,"_704":709},{"_127":702,"_23":703,"_704":705},"promise","Our Promise","paragraphs",[706],"We will not allow the world to forget what happened on October 7, or to redefine it into something less than it was. Trust is earned by accountability, not by pretending errors never happen.","What is your position on a ceasefire?","We support outcomes that protect civilians and end the threat of terror. Any arrangement that leaves Hamas able to rearm, rule through violence, and repeat October 7 is not peace, it is a pause that invites the next massacre. Durable quiet requires the removal of the terror infrastructure and the return of the hostages.","Do you acknowledge suffering in Gaza?","We acknowledge that war brings suffering, and we believe civilian harm is tragic and should be minimized. But acknowledging suffering does not require excusing the terrorist strategy that deliberately embeds violence within civilian life, nor does it require denying Israel’s duty to dismantle organizations committed to repeating mass atrocities.","Is Hasbara “propaganda”?","Hasbara, as we practice it, is the opposite of propaganda: it is the commitment to accurate explanation, verifiable claims, and transparent correction. Propaganda manipulates; hasbara clarifies. Propaganda hides intent; hasbara names it. Propaganda erases victims; hasbara refuses to let victims be rewritten into villains.","what-we-are-not","What We Are Not",[731],"We are not a “spin” shop, and we are not interested in manufactured talking points that collapse under basic questioning. We are not here to inflame hatred, and we do not promote violence. We are not neutral between democracy and terrorism, and we will never pretend that neutrality is a virtue when civilians are deliberately targeted and Jews are singled out for annihilation.","who-we-are","Who We Are",[735,736],"We are a pro-Israel communications initiative committed to democratic values, the rule of law, and the defense of Jewish national rights in the Jewish homeland. We are researchers, writers, designers, translators, and advocates, some public-facing and some not, for safety reasons in a time when harassment and targeting have become routine. Our work is guided by one standard: if it cannot be defended with facts and moral logic, it does not belong here.","If you are a journalist, educator, or organization and want to verify material, request sources, or discuss collaboration, we invite you to contact us directly.","who-we-serve","Who We Serve",[740],"This Platform is built for people who need to communicate under pressure and in hostile environments. It is for students facing intimidation on campus, professionals confronting workplace misinformation, journalists and editors seeking essential context, educators and community leaders building resilience against antisemitism, policymakers and civic voices who want to speak responsibly, and anyone who refuses to watch truth be replaced by fashionable lies. Whether you have thirty seconds for a reply or thirty minutes for a deeper conversation, our goal is to give you language that is accurate, confident, and morally grounded.","values","Our Values and Red Lines",[744,745],"We believe in equal human dignity, and we reject the intentional targeting of civilians as immoral and illegitimate, always. We oppose antisemitism in every form, including the modern tactic of laundering antisemitic outcomes through the delegitimization of Israel. We reject dehumanization and collective blame, because democratic societies do not defend themselves by abandoning their ethics; they defend themselves by applying them more seriously than their enemies ever will.","At the same time, we refuse the moral confusion that treats Jewish self-defense as suspect while excusing terror as “context.” Context is not a permission slip for massacre. Grief is not a justification for rape, murder, or kidnapping. Hostages are not “leverage.” Words matter because they determine what the world tolerates.","standards","How We Work: Standards and Truth Policy",[749],"Credibility is not a vibe; it is a discipline. We commit to accuracy over virality, and clarity over outrage. When information is confirmed, we say so; when it is uncertain, we label it; and when we make an error, we correct it transparently and promptly. We distinguish reporting from analysis, and we prioritize primary material, direct documentation, and verifiable claims. Our goal is not to “win the internet” for a day, it is to build a durable archive of truth that can stand up to scrutiny tomorrow.","what-we-do","What We Do",[753],"This Platform provides tools and content designed for impact, credibility, and shareability. We publish clear explainers that restore missing context, rapid responses to viral misinformation, and fact-based briefs that help readers understand Israel’s security reality and the regional threat environment. We create ready-to-use media assets, graphics, short videos, quotable summaries, and translation-friendly text, that empower students, professionals, community advocates, and content creators to speak confidently without becoming amateur propagandists. We also produce deeper backgrounders for those who want more than slogans: the logic of deterrence, the laws of armed conflict, the strategy of human shields, and the role of Iran’s proxy network in regional instability.","moral-clarity","Our Core Principle: Moral Clarity",[757,758],"We insist on the basic distinction that should never be blurred: Israel is a democratic state with accountable institutions, a free press, courts, and a duty to protect civilians. Terror organizations deliberately target civilians, glorify mass murder, and embed their military capabilities among noncombatants as a tactic. There is no honest comparison between these moral frameworks, and we reject attempts to manufacture one.","Our work is pro-Israel, pro-American, and pro-Western because we believe the democratic world must defend itself, intellectually and materially, against forces that seek to dismantle liberty, pluralism, and human dignity. We stand with the victims of terror, with the hostages still held in captivity, and with every society that refuses to normalize barbarism.","Why We Exist","video",[762,763],"Since the October 7, 2023 massacre, the deadliest attack on Jews since the Holocaust, Israel has faced not only a war for physical security, but a war against truth itself. Hamas and other Iran-backed terrorist organizations have pursued violence while their supporters pursue a parallel campaign of inversion: portraying terrorists as “resistance,” portraying hostages as bargaining chips, portraying Israeli self-defense as criminal, and pressuring democratic societies to adopt false moral equivalence between a democracy and genocidal terror movements.","We exist because that inversion has consequences. Disinformation does not merely confuse; it fuels antisemitism, radicalizes audiences, intimidates Jewish communities, distorts policy debates, and encourages further atrocities by convincing terrorists that brutality will be rewarded with global sympathy. We will not allow the world to be trained to accept the murder of Jews as a politics debate.","What “Hasbara” Means Here",[766],"Hasbara is often translated as “explanation,” but at This Platform it means something more specific: disciplined, values-driven communication grounded in facts, context, and the rule of law. It is not a substitute for reality; it is a refusal to let reality be replaced by propaganda. It is the work of explaining what happens, why it happens, and how to think about it honestly, especially when social media incentives, ideological activism, and hostile influence operations reward distortion over truth.",[768],"This Platform exists to defend truth in a time when Israel is forced to defend its people. When terrorists and hostile regimes cannot defeat the Jewish state on the battlefield, they attempt to delegitimize it in the court of public opinion, turning language into a weapon, and disinformation into a strategy. Our mission is to cut through the noise with clarity, evidence, and moral confidence, so that Israel’s right to exist and to protect its citizens is not argued as a “narrative,” but understood as a foundational principle of democratic civilization.","A values-driven information platform grounded in facts, context, and moral clarity.",{"_23":22,"_25":802},{"_23":22,"_587":802,"_803":804,"_805":806},{"_790":791,"_792":793,"_794":795,"_796":797,"_798":799,"_800":801},"unSubtitle","United Nations bodies and international institutions, and our coverage of each.","facts",{"_23":777,"_133":778,"_243":779,"_134":780,"_781":782,"_100":783,"_784":785,"_786":787,"_788":789},"Key facts","Group","Terror organization","United Nations body","designatedBy","Designated by","Articles","lastUpdate","Last update","notApplicable","Not applicable","noUpdates","No published articles yet","unIdentification","United Nations identifier only; no endorsement.","independentBody","Independent international court; not a United Nations body.","profile","Organization profile","textBadge","Profile","logoCredit","Logo:","usedForIdentification","Used for identification","Regimes and organisations that act against Israel and the Jewish people, and our coverage of each.","empty","No entries yet.","noArticles","No articles yet",{"_23":812,"_25":822},{"_23":812,"_587":813,"_489":814,"_510":815,"_512":513,"_514":515,"_599":816,"_589":817,"_591":818,"_601":492,"_819":820,"_602":603,"_604":605,"_606":607,"_608":609,"_597":513,"_516":821,"_518":513},{"_558":628,"_399":810,"_561":811},"Opinion article not found","Browse all opinions","Israel Opinion & Analysis","Expert perspectives on Israeli politics, the Middle East conflict, and geopolitical developments — updated with verified analysis.","Search opinions…","Search opinions","Showing {from}–{to} of {total} {total, plural, one {article} other {articles}}","All topics","Filter by topic","featured","Featured","No opinion articles found matching your search.","Expert geopolitical analysis on Israeli politics, Middle East conflicts, and regional security.
