IDF troops of the 769th Brigade, under the 91st Division, found Hezbollah weapons and propaganda in a civilian home in the El-Khiam area of southern Lebanon, the military said on 1 November. The Jerusalem Post reported the announcement. JNS reported the same find, including a children’s room bearing Hezbollah symbols.
A child’s room as a Hezbollah wall
IDF video showed posters of Hezbollah operatives, including former leader Hassan Nasrallah, on the walls of a child’s bedroom, the Jerusalem Post reported. In the same house troops found guns, ammunition magazines, and other equipment. The military was operating in the security zone to dismantle Hezbollah infrastructure. A child’s bedroom with Nasrallah on the plaster is Hezbollah living inside a family house, not a bunker on a ridge.
Troops also found rockets, Kalashnikov rifles, ammunition, and explosive drones at other sites in the security zone, both outlets reported. JNS said they located and dismantled a storage facility for explosive drones. Additional gear listed by JNS included helmets and military vests. The IDF said it would not allow Hezbollah to harm Israeli civilians or IDF troops and would continue to remove threats while remaining committed to the ceasefire agreement.
Khiam sits a few miles from Israel’s northern border. This Sunday’s haul is a civilian home used as a Hezbollah hold: posters over a child’s bed, firearms in the house, explosive drones in a store nearby. The 769th Brigade put that architecture on camera. Hezbollah stored a war in a residence. The IDF took the weapons out of it.
