Sources by section

Facts & Myths uses source material about public claims, including reporting, official statements and research. Opinion draws on reporting and commentary. Resources brings together historical, legal and institutional reference material. Spotlight and Enemies group reporting, public records and online material around topics, regimes and organizations.

Citations and evidence

Articles include cited sources and source links where available. Follow those links to inspect the original material, its date and its context. A citation does not guarantee that the automated text accurately represents the source. Opinion and commentary should be read as analysis, not as primary evidence.

Machine translation

Content and interface text are translated by machine for multiple languages. Translations can contain mistakes or lose nuance, and some pages show English when a translation is unavailable. Compare important wording with the cited original source.
