# Tehran billboards vow to kill Trump; mock prison cell at Tajrish

*JNS, citing AFP, reported that the Iranian regime unveiled Tehran billboards and banners vowing to kill U.S. President Donald Trump, including an actor as Trump in a mock prison cell at Tajrish Square.*

The Iranian regime on Tuesday unveiled new billboards and banners across Tehran vowing to kill U.S. President Donald Trump, [JNS](https://www.jns.org/live/breaking-news#000001a1-a189-dd2a-a7e7-ab9bf5c40000) reported, citing Agence France-Presse. In Enghelab Square, Iranians waved red flags symbolizing revenge in front of a massive anti-U.S. and anti-Israel billboard, AFP said. At Tajrish Square, an actor playing Trump looked out from a mock prison cell built into a billboard.

## A death threat as street furniture

The displays went up a day after Trump told Fox News in a phone interview that there was a very good chance of an agreement to end the war, though the Iranians “want to wait.” He said he would rather make a deal and “save a lot of lives.” Tehran’s answer, on AFP’s account, was public art promising to kill him: revenge flags in Enghelab, a fake cell in Tajrish, banners across the capital.

Tajrish Square is a crowded northern Tehran junction. Building a prison-cell billboard there, with an actor as Trump inside it, is a staged captivity scene aimed at cameras as much as at passersby. Enghelab’s red flags and anti-Israel board tie the threat to the regime’s war with both Washington and Jerusalem. This is official visual policy, not a stray graffiti tag.

Tuesday’s Tehran rollout is the threat on the walls. The regime vowed to kill the U.S. president in public, put him in a mock cell at Tajrish, and filled Enghelab with revenge flags. JNS relayed AFP’s account of that campaign. The billboards are the event.
